Film Industry

The Film Industry

Pre-production is the process of planning stage before the film is made such as props, locations, cast members and costumes are determined. This usually only happens when the film is green lit which means when the film has been agreed upon and is financially stabled to start the film making process.

Production is when the film is recorded live and where the filming finally starts to take place once all arrangements are in place.

Post-Production is the part once all filming is completed and where editors get involved to edit the clips so everything seems seamless but also to add SFX, VFX and transitions.

Fox Film Entertainment

The founder of "Fox Film Entertainment" is William Fox who founded the film studio corporation in 1915 and then the fox west coast theaters chain in the 1920s however William had to sell his companies interest to settle bankruptcy, although his the brand name lives on in many different medias such as Fox TV Network, Fox News Channel and more.

Fox film entertainment is one of the major film institution in America that produce many different films creating one of the biggest successful first 3D movie "Avatar".

"Avatar" One of the first 3D Movies

The fox company ownership is currently took by Rupert Murdoc and is still going at a steady pace of producing good quality movies such as x-men, planet of the ape and more.

Independent film is a professional film production whereas the feature film is produce outside of of a major film studio system. These independent films are usually distributed towards entertainment companies. These films usually have smaller budget that major film studio film because it's not connected with major studio.

Distribution of films

Film distribution this is when the film is allowed to be viewed by an audience. The people who have produce the film never distribute it their job is just to get the film done. Then they sell it off to another company who distribute the films. The film distributors job is to determine how the product will be marketed such as the release date or what sort of plan they decide to present this to the buyer/audiences. Most film distributors like to display the film to sale agents to find someone who will buy the film off them so they can sell film nationally to a wider audience or sale it to the big theaters/cinema companies. Distributors makes sure that a film doesn't get release on a date where another big film is being show since there could be a clash and most distributors don't want the audience to pick one film over another that way they don't lose money so they choose a particular date for the best release. Distribution is one of the important stages of film industries since without them there would be no sales.

Box office usually list most of the highest earning films because this tells people how much money was accumulated from tickets sells, DVDs sells, Online sells. Cinemas/theaters make income from selling tickets, selling refreshments and on-screen advertisements to the viewers making profit in return when buying the movie. Although other people may decide to stay home but to keep them coming to the cinema they must implemented comfortableness of seating and the surround to make visualization of the movie easier making it feel more immersed. The Ancillary markets are non-theatrical markets these are TV, Internet streaming, Online purchases or pay rental fees. So customers must pay before being able to view the content or may watch the film on the TV for free.
